Christmas Place Settings

Good day,

So if you are following my blog you know that my hubby and I are hosting our family Christmas for the very first time. I am so excited to have everyone here on Christmas day!! Of course I wanted to personalize my table so I just HAD to make place cards. I just painted my dining room a similiar colour to Baja Breeze (for those of you that use SU stuff). It's a bit lighter I'd say though. Anyhow, I am trying to have my table match somewhat so my Christmas colours are blue and brown. Not really festive is it?? Well I am adding pewter/silver to it as well. All the shimmer......will look so nice!! I will have to take a picture of my dining room table all set up and post it for you all to see.
As you can see I did all the ladies place settings the same, the guys and then the kids. All blue and brown BUT all different somehow. I gave the ladies the dazzling diamonds...seemed fitting. These are simple 3X3 pieces of paper folded in half and for the kiddy ones I folded a piece of DSP and simply punched it with my scallop punch. So easy!!

Enjoy your day and Christmas is just around the corner!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!

HAPPY SATURDAY, HAPPY WEEKEND!!!

So yesterday was a crazy snow storm here where I live which meant we got sent home from work!! YAAAHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! That enabled me to get some things done around the house. MUCH NEEDED!!

So again this is a Christmas card we did in my Christmas card class. This is my favourite one I think. I truely believe it's because it's Kiwi Kiss, number one and number two, my only other colour is Very Vanilla. SIMPLE, not fussy at all. I just added my dazzling diamonds ( as usual ) to the ornaments and voila. Easy!! If you notice the tops of my ornaments are simply punched out corners of the square scallop punch by SU. I couldn't think of anything to use and that just popped in my head. Works doesn't it??

Anyhow I hope you like it.
Enjoy your weekend. More snow to come tomorrow says the weather man!!

So Simple Christmas Card

Hey all!!

So another Pacific Point Christmas card. I am loving that blue especially with a snowflake stamp!! This was a card we made at my stampers club. SOOOOO easy it's silly. My goal was to make the snowflake look like an ornament...added the ribbon to help the effect. What do you think? As always on my Christmas cards I added my Dazzling Diamonds. How can you not???!!!

Well enjoy your day and not long now until the 25th!! HO HO HO!!

A Mature Christmas Card

Hello all and happy Monday!!

So I've seen this little poinsettia made with the stamp set Doodle This all over the place. I thought I'd give it a try. I have to say this is not a typical card I would make. In fact I wasn't sure I liked this particular paper in the Holiday Treasures pack but it did grow on me. I think this is a more MATURE card. Guess that means I'm immature LOL!!
I hope it's something you like. Of course I added my dazzling diamonds to the pointsettia, it just added that little bit of Christmas.

Take care and enjoy your Monday.

Snowswirled Snowflake Card

SEASONS GREETINGS EVERYONE!!!

As I post this today the snow is coming down outside and it's BEAUTIFUL. Of course being inside in my PJ's and not actually out in it is nice.

This was a card we did in my Christmas card class. Easy layout and of course Chocolate Chip is in it which I love, love, love. I added some Dazzling Diamonds (a must for a Christmas card) to the snowflake. It uses the SU set called Snow Swirled. I must say I have gotten a lot of use out of this beautiful set. Then I just ran the Whisper White piece of cardstock through my cuddle bug using the snowflake embossing folder. It just gave it some dimention.

Hope you like it and I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Take care!!

Ornament Card

Hi all,
Well I have survived 2 days of work and I have to say so far so good. I'm keeping busy with loads to do. I must say my stamping has taken a back seat which I am sad about BUT I plan to do some on the weekend for sure!!

This is a short post because time is of the essence. Lunches to make, kids stuff to pack up for tomorrow and the list goes on.

This was a card we made in one of my Christmas card classes. I have to say that in the end I added glitter on the ornament and it made it waaaaaaaaaay nicer...sorry I don't have an updated picture to show you :(

Anyhow, I hope you like it!!
Take care and enjoy the remainder of your week.

Season of Friendship Christmas Card

Well folks....this is it. My mat leave has officially come to an end and as you view my blog today I am back at work. BOOOOO!!! I can honestly say I have NO idea where this past year went. All I can say it was the best ever and I love my girls. I'm so darn lucky it's sick. Yesterday was a wonderful last day off as we celebrated Berlynn's Baptism. It was a great day spent with family. The house was full of laughter, kids, food and just the closest people around me. What more could I ask for on my last day of mat leave?

OK enough MOOSH. Let me sop up my tears and move on to the card.

I LOVE THIS SET!! Season of Friendship. AWESOME!! It's a pretty simple card, simple layout and simple stamping. I hope you like it and HAPPY WINTER!!

Enjoy your day and hugs the ones you love.

Daddy's Girl

Hello there all!!

Well this officially marks the LAST week of my maternity leave. BOOOOO!!!!!!!! So sad, so very sad!! I return to work after being off for a year on Mon Dec 1st which if you can believe it is next Monday!!!! What ever will I do??? DEPRESSING!

OK, I must pull myself together. Onto the post. This is another layout I did for my scrappers club using the Pina Colada Kit. Simple layout really. I ADORE this picture I took of my hubby with my baby Berlynn just getting out of the tub. I developed it in black and white which I think was a great idea too. LOVE IT!! I just need a couple more to put on the right side of the layout. I hope you like it!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Think of me as I enjoy my last week with my girls.

Take care,
Paula :)

ANOTHER Pumpkin Patch Page

Hello all!!

OK so I know you JUST saw a pumpkin patch lay out BUT I have 2 daughters therefore I have to scrap for both right? Here is my pumpkin patch lay out for my youngest daughter. Again this lay out uses SU's Pina Colada Simply Scrappin Kit (with a few added bits here and there). I stamped on this lay out. Usually when I use the kits I don't often stamp. I just HAD to add in the leaves and pumpkins though. Seems to work don't you think?

I cased this lay out from CINDY. Check out her blog here to see some of her stuff.

Thanks for popping by today and have a good one!!

Pina Colada Pimpkin Patch

Hey hey hey!!!

So I said I'd post my pumpkin patch scrapbook layout using their Pina Colada SU Kit and well.....here it is!! I always envision a pumpkin patch page done in orange but the yellow from this kit seemed to work perfectly!! I think so anyway LOL. If you are looking to scrap your fall events, I highly recommend getting this kit. The colours in it are beautiful and are so autumn like. The flowers in it are a bit on the Hawaiian side (which I LOVE but a bit bright and busy for fall) BUT other than that, perfect for fall events.

Thanks so much for visiting me today. Enjoy your day!!

Apple Picking

Hello all!!!

Well, it's been a while since I've posted any scrapbook pages. I have been keeping up but forgetting to photograph them. So you may be seeing an over load of scrapbooking coming your way tee hee.

This page is of course apple picking at a place called Appleland. Such a wonderful place for kids. You take a train ride out to the apple orchard and there is also a pumpkin patch as well as animals. So fun!! For this layout I used the Pina Colada Simply Scrappin kit by SU. Such a great kit for fall outings. Later on in the week I will post our pumpkin patch trip. It also uses the Pina Colada kit. Love those kits (as I have said a million times now- haha).

Thanks so much for stopping by and happy stamping.

Cute Little Christmas Box

Hello all!!

It's winter wonderland here in Ontario and I'm lovin' it!! The Christmas tree is up, the lights are up outside and we are ready for Christmas ALREADY!! I go back to work in 2 weeks from a year off of mat leave so I wanted to be sure all Christmas decor was up. Not to mention I am a Christmas FREAK! I love it.

So this little box was something we made at my stampers 10 club. I got it off of Splitcoast. I found it under Beate's tutorials. She's genius!! Her blog is to the right>>>>> Slide on over and check her out. She's awesome. I thought this box was so super cute because it's not your typical square box. I love that's it's a triangle. Something different. Hope you like it too.

Thanks for popping by today and enjoy your week.

Well, short and sweet today. Loads to get done. Mat leave is done in 2 weeks. YIKES!

Enjoy your Wednesday everyone!

For You With Love

Good day everyone and if you are local it's a bright sunny day! Quite warm out too which is nice. Doesn't do anything for the Christmas spirit though HA HA!! I'm not complaining, I'll take the warmth and sunshine while we can. Before we know it (like next week) it will be chilly and back to mitts and hats!

So I have a MILLION people in my life with November birthdays. SO I made a few of the same card to be prepared for them all. This is a layout that I cased from Beate's Blog. I didn't enter my card into her weekly sketch because I did it late. I just needed a layout and hers was so fun. This is my version. I am LOVING the new Kiwi Kiss colour. SO versatile!! I hope you like it!!

Take care and enjoy the sun.

A Historical Day (and Happy Holidays)

Good day all!!
As I am writing this I am watching the TV and watching Obama speak as the newest elected President!! WOW, amazing! The first African American President....history is made!! Congrats to America!!

This card was one that we made in my Christmas card class some time ago. Now that Halloween is overwith, I am all about Christmas cards, boxes, ornaments etc!! GLITTER, GLITTER and more GLITTER!! This is a super simple card with a Baja Breeze base and DSP. I used the stamp set called Big On Christmas. So hard not to use the snowman stamp....I LOVE SNOWMEN but I really wanted to use another one this time.

I hope you all like it!!
Take care

Well I know everyone does festive Fridays BUT today is Sunday so I'm doing festive Sunday. This card I cased from Kim Van Diepen's blog. HAPPY HALLOWEEN (although it feels like Christmas!!)

Hey all,
Sorry it's been a while. I have started taking a kickboxing class and it's in the evenings so it's really taken over my stamping time. I've decided it's much needed for me. It's like therapy to smack the poop out of those bags. Just love it!!

So here is a Halloween card I made with the Ghostly Greetings paper (LOVING IT!!) It's hard to believe that Halloween is tomorrow considering the amount of snow we have! I am itching to get my tree up!! I am a Christmas nut so once Halloween is done the tree will go up. OK I will wait til mid November then!

Happy Birthday to my hubby Paul (tomorrow). We will head on out for dinner to celebrate on Saturday night. YUM!

Take care all and enjoy trick or treating!!

Inspired By Nature

Hello and good day everyone.

This is a short post today as my 3 year old daughter is sick with the flu and I feel bad being on the computer. Poor thing....I hate when they are ill. Breaks your heart doesn't it? I wish I could take over the sickness for her.

SO, I am LOVING this stamp set but holy smokes it's a task to use if you don't have markers. I really want them BUT just don't have them as of yet. SO I ended up using my blender pen for the stem and QUICKLY (KEY WORD HERE) inked up the flowers, closed my eyes, hoped for the best and stamped the image. Looks not so bad hey? I made this card for my aunt for her b-day. As usual it will be late (story of my life) but she will eventually get it!! HA HA.

Anyhow, I better run and get the Vicks out. Gotta love that vapo rub!!!
Enjoy your day!!

This year we will actually take my 3 year old out trick or treating. I am so excited for that....yeah CANDY!

3D PUMPKIN

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!

WHOA!!!! I love love love TURKEY DINNER. It is simply the best ever. My favourite meal by far. I ate and ate and ate this weekend and I loved every minute of it!! Tomorrow though I am back on track. No more junk!! Ha Ha.

So Wednesday night will be my stampers night and this cute litte pumpkin is one of the projects we will be making. SO CUTE hey? I got it off Dawn's blog (Dawn's Stamping Thoughts). She is in my blog roll to the right so be sure to click on her site and check her out. She's awesome. Anyhow, saw this little pumpkin and just HAD to make one. I changed it up a bit by actually stamping leaves and then cutting them out. So easy to make and I think they would look so cute as decorations around the house. Don't you think they would look cute as a Christmas ornament too???? Using Christmas colours of course! I think I may just tackle that!

Anyhow, hope you like it. Thanks for stopping by today!!
Take care.
Paula :)

RECIPE:
PAPER: Tangerine Tango (8 strips cut into 1 X 5.5 strips), Old Olive (cut into thin thin strips then wrapped around a pencil to get it to curl).
INK: Old Olive
STAMPS: Autumn Harvest (the leaves)
Used my cropodile to make the holes on the top and bottom. Then I used brads to fasten the strips together. SUPER EASY PROJECT!!

Cute box that will hold about 5 cards nicely.

I hope you like it and I'll be back soon.

First Haircut

Hi all!!

Well my daughter Chloe just went for her second haircut yesterday and oddly enough I just scrapped her first one which was just about a year ago!! I thought it was time to get rid of some split ends. One of my best friends owns a salon here in town so she takes great care of us. Chloe loves her so it's exciting to go "see Tania!" Check out the salon HERE. They opened the day Chloe was born too which is also a fun bit of info!! That is Tania in the scrapbook pages, workin' hard!!! LOL!

Enjoy your day all.

Girls can wear BLUE too!!

Hey all,

Sorry it's been a while. I am finding it hard to stamp when I have an upcoming class to cut for. It's my Christmas card class and I am so excited for it. LOADS of ribbon and glitter. My house is going to be covered in it I KNOW!! LOL!!

This scrapbook layout was one that I did in my Scrappers class a few months ago. It uses a Simply Scrappin' Kit from SU's older catalogue. I forget the name.....sorry :(
I have yet to add my title "Girls Can Wear Blue Too" to it. I will get around to it one day I swear!!

I would like to just mention that I finally purchased a scrapbook from Stampin' Up and let me tell you IT'S BEAUTIFUL. I got the 12 x 12 ring binder one and it's awesome. The sheet protectors are nice and sturdy and are slightly bigger than 12 x 12 so your work is COMPLETELY covered. LOVE THAT! Plus someone gave me great advice to order the ring binder rather than the post one because I don't do my scrapbook pages in order therefore it's easier to add it to my book. Know what I mean. I thought that was a great tip.

Well enjoy your weekend. We are closing the pool today. Summer is officially over. I do love fall and am always excited for Christmas to come.

Take care.
Paula

OK enough whining.....you get that I'm sad :( ON TO THE CARD!!!
This is a little ornament card I made FINALLY using my Pacific Point paper. Haven't used it yet so I finally made myself!!! Have to say it's a colour that completely POPS! I LOVE it!!! If you are in my Christmas card class, we will be making this card. HOW FUN....I KNOW!!! I am LOVING brown in Christmas cards this year too. Who am I kidding....I love brown ALWAYS. I find it hard anymore to make a card without Chocolate Chip.

Well I hope you like it and enjoy your Tuesday!!
