Boy Birthday!

WOW~~ 2 posts in one week! What is happening??? LOL!! I'll tell you what's happening....my daughter Chloe is ill on the couch today so I actually have 5 minutes to sit and do stuff like this--POST!! Thus, 2 posts in 1 week :)

So this is a card I made for my Godson who had a birthday in early December. I find it hard to make masculine cards...I much prefer to make girly, frilly cards in all honesty. I chose to use SU's retired set Reviting. I do love this set. It's quite like Circle Circus I think. Same concept anyway. Remember yesterday I posted that I wanted to use Jolly Holiday paper on a NON Christmas project---take a CLOSE look at this one :) WINK WINK!

I hope you like this creation. I was pleased with my end result. Simple and "boyish."

Thanks for popping by. New Year's is just around the corner. Enjoy yours and be safe.
Take care,
Paula

Merry belated Christmas to you and yours!!

Good day all!!

Well now that Christmas is over with (sort of...we have one more Christmas celebration on Jan 2nd) I thought I'd post a few Christmas mini items I made. Just a couple of tags and mini 3x3 cards. So cute for gift giving. People loved them.
These are all using SU's Contempo Christmas stamp set as well as the ever popular Jolly Holiday DSP. I just LOVE this paper!!! My challenge will be to use this paper on NON Christmas projects. I will post those when it happens HEE HEE!!

So on a side note I am going to have my very own CRAFTING SPACE soon!!! Right now I stamp in my dining room which is posing a problem seeing as my stamp supplies are taking over!! At some point I will post pics of the transformation for you all. I always love to look at people's stamping space (especially with before and after pics). Stay tuned!! LOL.

Take care and enjoy your day :)
Thanks for popping by.

Another baby card-tee hee!!!

Hey hey hey!!

Well if you've read my blog in the past you will know that I LOVE MAKING BABY CARDS!! No clue why....it just makes me happy :)

My friend is expecting her first baby in January and this is the shower card I made for her. It's hard because we don't know the gender of her baby so I tried to remain neutral. I did use some retired SU DSP (Cottage Wall???? was that the name of it?) along with the Fox and Friends (current) stamp set. Super cute set!! I hope she likes the card...I'm dying to know what she and her hubby are having. The suspense is killer!!

Well, go on and enjoy the rest of your day. Thanks for poppin' by.

Wedding Congrats!

Hello all!!

Hope your week is off to a good start! It's November 9th ALREADY and I'm just wondering....where did time go? Christmas will be here before we know it and I promised myself that this year I will not be in the mall on Christmas eve! Let's see if I can stay true to that promise!!

So today's card is meant to be a wedding card. My husband and I went to a wedding on the weekend and their colours were black and white. I decided to make a card to match that theme (I did use Very Vanilla--a little less stark than white). Do you like??? It's simple (my 5 year old was helping me....she loves the Big Shot so I was sure to use an embossing folder!) yet elegant don't you think?

Well, enjoy the rest of your week but I promise I'll be back.
Take care.

Congratulations

Hello all:

So there are a couple of us in our household that are under the weather. Including me of course. I have 9 girls coming over tonight for my Christmas stamp a stack and wouldn't you know I'm sick :( Never fails I tell ya. I will post some of those cards over the next few days. I have another 11 ladies coming next week so hopefully I'm in better shape then.
For today I'm posting a congratulations card I made for our cousin. She graduated from highschool and is now off to college. Remember those days? MANY moons ago?? LOL.
This card used SU's level 2 hostess stamp set. Love the 2 step stamping. It's such a pretty look.

I should sign off now and rest afterall I've got a whack of stampin' ladies coming!!
Thanks for popping by.

Happy Hallowe'en!!!

Well well well---
What a great Hallowe'en day we have had!! Today is also my husband's birthday so it's always a busy day for us in our household.
This was a layout we did in my Simply Scrappin' club. It uses the SU kit Good Times. I made the cute little pumpkins with oval punches. Neat little idea I cased off someone. I thought a pumpkin patch layout was fitting for this time of year.
Hope you like it. All it needs is a title and I'm done!!

I have also added a few pics from our day today. Enjoy.

Artistic Etchings and back from Regionals!!

OH MY GOODNESS!!!

Where have I been......I know!! I'm sorry.
I am just back from the Stampin' Up! regional event and let me say WHOA!!! It was AWESOME. So inspiring to see other people's work I tell ya! I learned A LOT this weekend. Got to meet and chat with the co founder & CEO of SU Shelli Gardner. What a sweet darling lady she is (not to mention tall!! Holy smokes!!!). I also won a stamp set (A Cute Christmas--in the current holiday mini) and that right there was SOOOOO FUN!!! My friend and downline Lisa won it as well and you should have seen us FREAK out when we saw our names up on the screen! Like KIDS! It was hilarious! So exciting.
I have a few pics posted for you :) ENJOY.

My new favourite stamp set is the Artistic Etchings--Page 125 of the SU catty! Vintage is my new love. Satin ribbon is my other new love. I love working with it. So classy looking too don't you think?

Thanks for visiting today and I'll be back with more I promise :)
Take care.

Summery Colours!

Hey all!!
It's hump day!
Thanks for stopping in today. So, this card for me was "out of my comfort zone!!" WHY? You ask? Because of the colours. I have a hard time making ANYTHING without brown in it and I'm such a "neutral" kinda gal. This is BRIGHT and COLOURFUL! I wanted sooo bad to throw a little Chocolate Chip in this mix but didn't allow it. I love to ruffle ribbon these days. It's a great look that's super easy to do. All I do is lay a piece of sticky strip down across my card and gather the ribbon any old way. There's no rhyme or reason to it. The less perfect it is the better! Give it a try!

Thanks again for checkin' me out.
Have a great remainder of your week.

Pumpkin Patch!

Hello all!

Well it's the start of another new week. Where does time go? Soon the kids will be back to school. Summer seems to fly by. I only just did this layout from the pumpkin patch last year and before we know it we will be picking our pumpkins for this year!! I ADORE the retired Stampin' Up! Halloween paper....Ghostly Greetings (I think it was called that). So fun to use. I have yet to make a title (always seems to take me for ever!) but you get the jist right? LOL.

Thanks for having a look today :)
Enjoy your week.

It's a GIRL!!

IT'S FRIDAY!!! Thank GOODNESS!!!
So I hope you've all had a better week than I have. My 5 year old, Chloe has been sick ALLLLLL week! Puffy eyes, clogged up nose, fever on and off. POOR THING. She is such a trooper I tell ya. So we've been juggling our work schedules to be with her. I hope we are seeing the end of this!

So my next door neighbours just had a baby girl. I LOVE LOVE LOVE making baby cards! This card was inspired by my up line Heather. I got the idea from her creation at our most recent swap night. Sorry no picture :( This is my take on her card. I changed up the colours (hers was So Saffron and Chocolate Chip--great if you don't know what gender the baby to be is!!) and added the saying to reflect the gender of the new baby----obviously they had a girl!! LOL!

I hope you like my card. I can't wait for more friends to have babies so I can make more new baby cards!!!

RECIPE:
Pink Pirouette Paper
Kraft Paper
Nursery Necessities stamp set
Fox and Friends stamp set
Pretty and Pink satin ribbon

Thanks so much for visiting me today.
Have a great weekend.

Back in the scrappin' groove!!!

Good day all and HAPPY MONDAY!! (is there such a thing ??? LOL)

I have finally started scrapbooking again and my club starts up this week! (YAHOO!)
I'm soooo excited to have some fresh faces in my club. Some have NEVER scrapbooked before and that makes me soooo excited!! Others have been in my club since day 1 and I thank them for that!! We always have a great time when we are together. A LOT of laughs for sure!!

This is a layout I did a while ago and realized I haden't posted! This was last year with my girls apple picking (obviously!). We LOVE to go apple picking! So much fun every year and loads of apple treats to be made when we return. My hubby and I even made apple pie and if you know us, that's HUGE!

The paper used here is from SU's retired paper Bella Rose (love it STILL) and Real Red card stock. I also used my Cricut for the title, apple and apple tree. Cute hey?
I hope you guys like it!!!
Thanks as always for visiting :)
Much appreciated and enjoy your week.

Happy birthday card for a MAN!

Hey there everyone!!

So making cards for men isn't fun! There I said it! LOL!! In all seriousness I can't bring myself to ever buy a card again so I make ALL my cards! Rightly so since I have all the stuff to make them! I had a couple of men I needed to make cards for so I made 2 of these. It uses Kraft paper and some old SU DSP paper. I think it's pretty manly don't you? Nothing frilly about it right?
I hope the "guys" like them too.
Take care and thanks so much for checking in with me today :)
Enjoy your week.

NEW STUFF!!! (and some old)

Good day all!!
Well thanks for checking in with me today! I was soooooo excited when I got home from work yesterday because my new SU stuff arrived!!! It was a little like Christmas for me I must say!!! SO, naturally I had to crack open some stuff and STAMP! I have an aunt that was in the hospital recently and we are visiting her this up coming weekend. I wanted to make a special card for her and this is what I came up with. I used the new Level 1 SU hostess set "Because I Care" along with old DSP (Cottage Wall). I hope she likes it. It took me FOREVER to make because it's been sooo long since I've stamped!I feel like I lost my MOJO! Normally following a sketch of some sort helps but in this instance I didn't . I just went with the flow!!!

Like I said, thanks for popping by!!
Take care and enjoy the remainder of your week.

Missing in Action....SORRY!!!

OMG I know!!!!! Where have I been??? All I can say is that we have been having such a great summer that my stamping has taken a bit of a back seat. We are having so much fun in the evenings in our pool....letting the kids stay up a little later than normal....what can I say? I am getting pumped though because the new SU catty is RELEASED and I'm in love with EVERYTHING and the new holiday mini was just sent to me from SU and let me tell you it's AWESOME! I need another job to support this habit! The new catty started July 1st and the holiday mini will start Sept 1st. This is going to be one GREAT year for us stampers let me tell you! If you need any of these in print please let me know and I will be sure to send you one.
On to this post----
A while ago I went to my upline Heather's for a swap night and this was the card I made for my swap. Simple colours that's for sure. I do love that Melon Mambo colour and am delighted it's here to stay!
I hope you like this one. I enjoyed making it.
Thanks for popping in and I hope you're enjoying your summer too.
Take care.

Happy Birthday (girl card)

Happy weekend everyone!

What BEAUTIFUL weather we have been having here. We have been in the pool NON STOP all week after work, it's been great! I love the sun! I hope where ever you are you are experiencing the same!!

This is a simple card I made using the Sweet Pea DSP and felt flowers. It's a nice layout to showcase a variety of designer paper. Easy yet cute all wrapped in one card.

Tomorrow I will be having a boat load of little girls here to celebrate my daughter's 5th birthday. If I survive that I will post a couple of pics :)
Wish me luck.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday boy card!

Good Thursday morning to you!

Well hello and thanks for popping by today. Today's post is a card I made specifically for a friend who was going to her nephew's 2nd birthday party. She does so much for me (specifically my hair!!) so I wanted to do something for her. I wanted to personalize the card for her nephew so I added his name using my Cricut machine. Love that thing!I also used SU's star punches, some Pumpkin Pie DSP and a Cuddle Bug embossing folder for some texture. VOILA!! There you have it!

Thanks so much for checkin' me out! Enjoy your day!

Butterfly Thank You

HEY HEY!!

Well, time is quickly passing! It's mid May already and I can't even believe it. My oldest, Chloe, will be 5 in just a couple of weeks. Where does time go? I find with having kids time goes buy even faster! Is that even possible? Seems to for me anyway.

This card I have posted today was another one we made in my card class. It's super easy! It's a card that utilizes the Big Shot a lot. Love those butterflies!

I hope you are getting out and enjoying the sunshine. Hopefully it's shining where you are!

Thanks for popping in and keep your eyes open for a scrapbook layout I will be posting very soon!! I'm waaaaaay behind on my girls books so scrappin' is priority!

Bye for now.

Mojo Monday--My take!

HEY HEY HEY!!!
Hello all and thanks for checkin' me out!
So I needed some inspiration so make a couple of cards and I thought "hey....let's check out this week's Mojo Monday sketch" and that's exactly what I did. This week's sketch is above and my take is there too. I used SU's Sweet Pea paper (I do hope in the new catty they have a big paper pack we can buy!! I love love love it!!) and I also used SU's Crazy for Cupcakes set. Can you see my Dazzling Diamonds on them??? I love a little shimmer. My sentiment is from Short and Sweet....a must have set in my opinion!!!
I hope you like my little creation.
Take care---Paula

A little birdy THANK YOU!

Well hello all!!
So a while ago I had a card making night which as usual was so much fun! This was one of the cards we made. Bright and easy! We used some paper from SU's Sweet Pea pack and the Good Friends stamp set. I haven't used this bird in ages. I miss him and just think he's so cute! I hope you like this little creation! Thanks for popping in today and enjoy the sunshine (if you have it where you are!).
Take care.

Design and colour challenge #14!!

Hello everyone!!

I have finally been able to stamp for fun. No class prep with this card at all!!! The only thing I did was follow Heather's (my upline--see her link to the right) design and colour challenge that she holds weekly! So much fun to participate. Her card layout is above and of course my version is posted here. I changed it a bit---my card is a 5x5 card (LOVE SQUARE CARDS!!) and I don't have the curly label punch so just did my own thing. I haven't used my Pun Fun stamp set in ages so that was fun to bring out again too! Her colour challenge was to use Pretty In Pink, Old Olive and Certainly Celery. There you have it! Perfect because now I can use this card for my friend that is due to have a baby girl this summer! Pays to plan ahead I say!!!

Enjoy your Wednesday everyone!!
Take care and thanks for popping in.

Butterflies

Hey all.

So today's card is a simple pocket card. These are typically colours I don't use. I'm usually an earth tone kinda girl BUT the weather has been sunny here lately so I feel like bright colours are in order. Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay are the three main colours used here. All In Colours. Love them together and hope you do too.

The stamp set I used was SU's Flight of the Butterfly. Forgot I even had this set!!! Terrible I know. Love using it and think it's a great fun set!!

Take care and as always thanks for taking the time to visit!

Glad We're Friends

Well hello all!!!

These cards were made some time ago and I realized I haven't posted them yet!! As I've said in the past, when I make my cards I usually make a few at a time just to have them on hand. You never know when you may be in need of a card. This way I can go to my stash and select one that best suits the occasion at hand.

I hope you like these ones. I LOVE SU's Flower Daisies #2 Big Shot Die.So fun!

Take care

Mambo Birthday

OH MY GOODNESS I'M BACK!!!!
I can't even say how sorry I am for not being consistent here on my blog. Life is busy busy busy for me so my stamping has sadly taken a bit of a back seat. Oh how I miss it though. Last time I stamped was before Christmas! Can you even believe it? I was suffering big time let me tell you.
Well, I got back into my goodies and came up with this card. I am loving the colour Melon Mambo and can't believe I haven't used it sooner! It's beautiful!!
This card was so super easy. I just used my 1 1/4" square punch to puch out 4 pieces of the Melon Mambo DSP and used our new border punch on the black cardstock----a great contrast on the Melon Mambo!!
I hope you like it. I also hope to post a little more frequently!!
Thanks for popping in.

Late Christmas Card

I know I know. Christmas has come and gone BUT let me tell you I had so much fun making these cards that I just had to post it. I ADORED this stamp set that was in the recent Holiday Mini from SU. Snowmen are my favourite! I only made a handful of these cards....especially for my stampin' friends. You know who you are (wink wink).

This was one of my first times using Brocade Blue too. Love it with the Kraft! Great combo.

Take care for now and see ya soon.

ABC Frame

Hello !!

Did you think I had fallen off the face of the earth? Well, nope. Here I am. Holidays were busy as usual and school is taking up most of my time. Stamping is my true love yes but busy busy busy life is getting in the way :(
This particular project I made was an idea from my upline Heather. She made a frame like this and I just selected a white frame and different colour letters to suit my daughters room. She is really into the alphabet song right now so I've hung it in her room. Not only is it cute BUT it's helping her visualize the letters!! GREAT!
I hope you like this project. I used the SU Big Shot to cut the letters.

Thanks for checking in today. Hope you're having a great weekend. HAPPY NEW YEAR TOO!
