NEW STUFF!!

Well it's the long weekend and thus summer holidays come to a close. Can you even believe it? The summer goes by waaaaaaaay too fast!! What are your long weekend plans? We just have a couple of bbqs here and there plus dinner out on Monday night with the girls. I am sooo excited. Who doesn't love dinner with the girls???

So I wanted to make a birthday card for my friend's mother. She is a Stampin' Up fanatic (which is great) however she just lost her husband to cancer so my friend is driving to be with her mom on her special day. Enjoy your b-day Nancy with your family. You're in our thoughts. So are you Sheila XOXO.

I just opened some new goodies from SU today and just had to use the new set Upsy Daisy for Nancy's card. I hope you like it. It's a simple one but I like the way it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend.
Paula :)

A Little Something

Hey all!!

So much to say today. Yesterday I had baby group (as I do every Wednesday) and it was one of the girls last baby group meaning her baby boy is now a year old and she is returning to work. I remember when I was in the same position with Chloe and it was like life was ending! You are soooo used to being off with your baby and thinking NO ONE else can raise her like I can. I know everything about her!! Well, it all works out in the end doesn't it? Chloe LOVES her daycare now and I do too!
This was the card I made for my friend as a little "good bye" and it was great getting to know her over the past months while on mat leave together. Coffee is the huge necessity in baby group so I thought the latte mug from Pun Fun was fitting. We will miss you Laura!! I have to say we are so lucky here in Canada to have the full year off with our babies. I couldn't imagine only 3 months or so. YIKES.

Anyhow I hope you like this card. I can't believe I used NON Stampin' Up DS paper!!! AHHHHH.....trader!!! OK I do love love love this paper and bought it ages ago before I was even a demo so forgive me. HA HA. I even had it shipped to Jacksonville in April to pick it up while we were there on vacation. The particular company I used doesn't ship to Canada. BOO! Anyhow, on to the card. I paper pierced the latte piece of water colour paper (hate it because it's so off!! There must be a circle template for paper piercing. I need to get it!! Where can I get one? Please leave a comment to let me know ok? Thanks). These are my new favourite colours together--Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip. In fact this new combo of mine won me a prize on U Stamp. Thanks to Heather Summers and Dawn Rapsas. I won the level 3 Holiday Bundle Set. AWESOME!! All because I gave that colour combo as my favourite!!

OK hope you like it....let me know if you do. Leave me a comment! What is your favourite colour combo using an in colour?? I'd love to know so I can try it out.

Thanks everyone and enjoy your Thursday!!
Paula

RECIPE:
Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze (FAV in colour by far), Chatter Box DS paper, Close To Cocoa (card base)
STAMPS: Pun Fun, Priceless (the flower), Sentiment was So Many Sayings

Thinking Of You

Happy hump day!!

Well I must say I love Beate's Blog. I cased this card from her blog because I just LOVED what she made. I needed a "Thinking Of You" card for a friend and thought I'd used Beate's creation as my inspiration. Have a look at hers HERE CUTE HEY?? Now you can see why I cased it! I changed it up a tad. I stilled used the Bella Rose DS paper by SU BUT I used it differently. I also used a different sentiment. Well, there's my take on it. I hope you like it!!

Take care and have a fantastic day!!

Baby Shower Gift

Well well well, it's been a while!! So sorry. My weekend has been crazy busy (as was my week) with this and that. I have been glued to the TV watching the Olympics. I am addicted!! Makes me want to get off the couch and WORK OUT!! Crazy I know!! HA HA.

Well this project was soooooo fun for me. We went to a co-ed baby shower on Saturday and this was part of the gift we gave to the excited couple. I made this cute little box (got directions from HERE--super easy!) and then I filled it with 20 thank you cards as well as the envelopes. You can never have too many thank yous when you have a baby!! That's for sure.

The little onesie card shown here I cased from Lauren Meader's blog. Cute hey? I thought so!!

Anyhow, I hope to get some serious stamping done this week. It's been too long!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Long Live Tart and Tangy!!

HELLO and HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYONE!!!

Well, I was surfing SPLITCOAST the other night and found this adorable little box to make. Jen Del Muro is the one who created this little "pizza box" and I needed a couple of little give aways for a class I'm having so here it is!! The little box houses 3.5 X 3.5 cards and I made 3 to go in each. I'd say it would fit 5 easily. Anyhow check out Jen's blog for directions and details. So easy to make and oh so darn cute! Don't ya think?
I also love the Tart and Tangy stamp set along with the Summer Picnic paper. I hear they made the new SU catalogue (don't have one yet and it's KILLING ME!!) which I couldn't be happier about. Love the 2 together!!

Anyhow, thanks for checkin' out my blog today!!
Ta ta for now.
