Masculine Birthday

Hello there!!
Yup, I'm posting again. I'm so proud of me :) HA HA.
I'm really trying to keep my blog updated....can't make any promises though. I will super try though and we'll see how it goes.
So it's my dad's birthday on Nov 10th and of course I had to make him a card. A manly card of course. I think this is pretty "manly" don't you? No frills or flowers to be seen at all. Oh I did add 1 piece of bling. A rhinestone for the "I" in birthday. That's as girly as it's gonna get. For the most part it has easy straight lines and is pretty much black and brown. I hope you like it...I hope he does too :)
Thanks for checking my blog out today. Happy Monday!!!

Happy Halloween!!!

OK so I'm a day late and it's been since MAY since I've posted anything. I realize that it's been forever and I don't know what to say other than "I'm so terribly sorry."
So, where to begin. Let's just begin at Halloween (which was yesterday). What a blast it is to have young kids trick or treating on Halloween. It's so fun to watch them run about collecting their candy. Brings a smile to my face for sure!!
Halloween is also my husband's birthday!! So the first card I have attached here is the card I made for him. HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY!! The second card I totally cased from Margaret Moody. She's a new blog I have found and I am loving her stuff. Very inspirational to say the least!! So can't take credit for the second card. Both cards use the stamp set Wicked Cool (by Stampin' Up of course). I am really going to try to keep this blog updated. It's my new mission.

I do thank you for checking me out :)
I'll be back......I promise!!

Mojo Monday 191

Hello again all:

So I've been busy busy in my craft room lately!!
Our brand new neighbours got married this past weekend so naturally this called for a card and a small gifty :) I also felt like taking part in the Mojo Monday sketch so I've posted that above as well.
I decided to make the wedding card with a bit of a vintage feel to it. I sponged pretty much everything and you can't really tell in the picture but I scrunched up the flower to make it look worn. The flower is my new flower die, Blossom Party which I have to say I AM IN LOVE WITH!! I also used the Tiny Tags stamp set along with punch. So super cute!!
I hope you like the card and I hope our neighbours do too.
Thanks for stopping by.
Take care.

BABY GIRL!

HELLOOOOOOO!!
I'm on a roll now hey? Another post and it's only been a couple of days!! I know CRAZY isn't it?
So I had a baby shower to go to on the weekend and I needed a baby girl card in a pinch. I came up with this 5x5 card. Again, I LOVE making 5x5 cards. More landscape to cover ;)
This uses SU's Broadstreet Alphabet with some Sale A Bration paper. FUN colour scheme too hey?
This post is short and sweet--I'm actually in my craftroom now CREATING!! So fun!!
Take care and I'll be back soon.

Yes I'm still alive.....

Hello all and happy spring!!
Finally it's spring around here!! The snow is officially gone and I couldn't be happier. Our pool is open and ready to use (although we are expecting rain for the next 10 days!!) In light of the snow being gone and Mother's Day coming and going, I thought I'd post the mother's day card I made for my very own mom. It's a springy card don't you think?? It's a 5x5 card (which I LOVE making!!) and it uses that awesome colour combo Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz and Baja Breeze. SWEET COMBO!!
Hope you like it and I have more to show you over the next few days.
Take care all and enjoy your weekend!!

MDS AGAIN-I can't help it!

Hi all!!
So last post I told you I was addicted to My Digital Studio. I didn't lie. Here's another page I did using MDS. This was my second attempt. What do you think? These pictures were taken by my brother in law and I used them in my Christmas cards this year. Super cute hey? I love these pics of my girls. So, naturally when creating a scrapbook page I like to match paper to (generally) the clothes that people are wearing in the pictures. In this case I used a lot of Cherry Cobbler well and Old Olive to match the Christmas tree in the background. I hope you like it. It was so fun to create. Again, if you'd like information on MDS just shoot me a comment and I'll let you know. It's scrapbooking made easy!!! No clean up. That to me means a LOT!

Thanks and hope you're enjoying your weekend!!!

My Digital Studio*OH MY!!!!!!!*

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
HAPPY FAMILY DAY TO YOU ALL!!
Today is a holiday for us here in Ontario. It's also the day after my birthday! Yes my birthday was yesterday and it was a great LAZY day in our home! I wanted nothing more. A day with my family. What more could a birthday girl ask for?
OK on to the post. I am excited to say that I've taken the plunge! YES, and I'm addicted! By the title of this post you know I am talking about My Digital Studio! Honestly, I was never interested in MDS because I LOVE scrap booking with REAL product. Buttons, brads, ribbon ETC. BUT that has allllll changed! This program is sooooo easy even I can use it and IT WORKS!! Now that's saying something!!! LOL!!! NOW, I still have a lot to learn BUT not bad for my FIRST MDS PAGE right? The beauty of MDS for me is it's super user friendly and NO CLEAN-UP!!! If I want to stop working on a project I simply shut my laptop and walk away. LOVE IT!!

So as mentioned above this is my very first MDS page. I LOVE the colour scheme don't you? I just came across it by simply PLAYING around with the various colours. THAT EASY! I hope you enjoy this page. Mark my words if you are on the fence about this product YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED! It comes with tonnes of stuff and of course there is opportunity to purchase more downloads. Skies the limit. DO IT! BUY IT! ENJOY IT!!

Thanks for popping by!!

True to my word!!!

Well hello everyone!!
I'm delighted to say that I kept my word! I'm so excited! I said I'd post if I was working from home today due a snow storm and well....here I am. Working from home as the snow flies outside!! It's really pretty from inside I must say!!
This time it's my cousin's birthday. This was a super quick card I made for her. A little vintage style. I love this set! One of my favourites this year! For those who don't know it's called Artistic Etchings. I paired it up with some retired Christmas paper if you can believe it! I love getting the most use out of my paper where ever possible.

I hope you like this card.
I'll post some Valentine's ones soon.
Thanks for checking in again.

Filled with Love Birthday

Well good day everyone!!
I had a couple of birthdays so I was excited to stamp a couple of cards for them!! I always love to stamp JUST to stamp. I mean I'm not prepping for a class / club right now so I literally got to stamp for pure pleasure! So exciting and fun!
This particular card was made for my aunt and I used the SU set Filled with Love. SUPER cute Valentine set. Because I'm in Valentine mode I wanted to use this set BUT I had to make it birthday related. I just dug out the sentiment HAPPY BIRTHDAY from a retired set and there you have it. It's in the mail ready to be delivered! I hope she likes it.

Well, we here in Southwestern Ontario are expecting a huge snow storm tonight so may be a snow day tomorrow. Haven't we had enough already? SHEESH!!! SO, if I'm home tomorrow I'll try to post another card. Until then wish us luck that we don't get burried.

Take care and thanks as always for popping by.

Celebration Scrapbook Layout!

Me again :)
Twice in one week! I know-crazy!!!
So this month is my last scrap club month :( Makes me sad. I have had a blast these past 6 months with these 14 ladies!!! I will miss them and our laughs!
So Stampin' Up usually has about 10 Simply Scrappin' kits in their cattys. This catty only had 4 which I must admit was a little disappointing. BUT it forced me to get a little creative. SO, I purchased SU's Celebration DSP, 4 different colour 12x12paper and the Celebration Quick Accents. VOILA!!!! Here are the 4 layouts I came up with. I adore the Celebration paper!! It's bright and SUPER fun!!! Colours are awesome. I'm a new fan of Pacific Point!!
I hope you like them :)

Take care.

Christmas Ornament-THANK YOU!

Hello Strangers!!!
Don't I ALWAYS start my post with some excuse as to why I haven't posted in FOR EVER!!?? SORRY:( As usual life gets away from me and before I know it my last post seems like ages ago! I've just started a new job in the Pharmaceutical industry so I am bringing work home these days just to remain on target. So this has taken a bit of my stamping time away :( Once I get into the groove though I won't have to bring work stuff home near as much.

SO, I'm going to be honest, I can't take credit for this piece. My AWESOME and talented friend (and downline) Lisa Macmaster made this for me and gave it to me at our downline meeting. Isn't it SUPER SWEET??? LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Thanks Lisa. I'm not 100% sure where she got the directions but she did teach us how to make an individual flower and it's easy to make BUT WOW--time consuming. This took her hours to create. I appreciated it Lisa-THANKS. I have stashed it away with my Christmas decor so it will be out next year!

Well I for sure love this project. I'm the lucky receiver of a great gift. Thanks Lisa :)

See you soon all I promise :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

So first off HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all!! I hope you have a prosperous 2011!! I'm looking forward to this up coming year. I've started a new job so that's my most exciting news and something to focus on. I'm delighted to welcome every new year with celebrating my daughters birthday. My little Berlynn's birthday is today and she is 3!! I will post a pic shortly for you. It's been a great day hangin' at home celebrating. We will have a party for her next weekend.

On to the card. Have I mentioned that I love Artistic Etchings---Stampin' Up stamp set with the Eiffel Tower!! Adore it!! I hope you like the card...I'm loving the vintage look these days.

Take care and happy 2011 again.

Boy Birthday!

WOW~~ 2 posts in one week! What is happening??? LOL!! I'll tell you what's happening....my daughter Chloe is ill on the couch today so I actually have 5 minutes to sit and do stuff like this--POST!! Thus, 2 posts in 1 week :)

So this is a card I made for my Godson who had a birthday in early December. I find it hard to make masculine cards...I much prefer to make girly, frilly cards in all honesty. I chose to use SU's retired set Reviting. I do love this set. It's quite like Circle Circus I think. Same concept anyway. Remember yesterday I posted that I wanted to use Jolly Holiday paper on a NON Christmas project---take a CLOSE look at this one :) WINK WINK!

I hope you like this creation. I was pleased with my end result. Simple and "boyish."

Thanks for popping by. New Year's is just around the corner. Enjoy yours and be safe.
Take care,
Paula

Merry belated Christmas to you and yours!!

Good day all!!

Well now that Christmas is over with (sort of...we have one more Christmas celebration on Jan 2nd) I thought I'd post a few Christmas mini items I made. Just a couple of tags and mini 3x3 cards. So cute for gift giving. People loved them.
These are all using SU's Contempo Christmas stamp set as well as the ever popular Jolly Holiday DSP. I just LOVE this paper!!! My challenge will be to use this paper on NON Christmas projects. I will post those when it happens HEE HEE!!

So on a side note I am going to have my very own CRAFTING SPACE soon!!! Right now I stamp in my dining room which is posing a problem seeing as my stamp supplies are taking over!! At some point I will post pics of the transformation for you all. I always love to look at people's stamping space (especially with before and after pics). Stay tuned!! LOL.

Take care and enjoy your day :)
Thanks for popping by.

Another baby card-tee hee!!!

Hey hey hey!!

Well if you've read my blog in the past you will know that I LOVE MAKING BABY CARDS!! No clue why....it just makes me happy :)

My friend is expecting her first baby in January and this is the shower card I made for her. It's hard because we don't know the gender of her baby so I tried to remain neutral. I did use some retired SU DSP (Cottage Wall???? was that the name of it?) along with the Fox and Friends (current) stamp set. Super cute set!! I hope she likes the card...I'm dying to know what she and her hubby are having. The suspense is killer!!

Well, go on and enjoy the rest of your day. Thanks for poppin' by.

Wedding Congrats!

Hello all!!

Hope your week is off to a good start! It's November 9th ALREADY and I'm just wondering....where did time go? Christmas will be here before we know it and I promised myself that this year I will not be in the mall on Christmas eve! Let's see if I can stay true to that promise!!

So today's card is meant to be a wedding card. My husband and I went to a wedding on the weekend and their colours were black and white. I decided to make a card to match that theme (I did use Very Vanilla--a little less stark than white). Do you like??? It's simple (my 5 year old was helping me....she loves the Big Shot so I was sure to use an embossing folder!) yet elegant don't you think?

Well, enjoy the rest of your week but I promise I'll be back.
Take care.

Congratulations

Hello all:

So there are a couple of us in our household that are under the weather. Including me of course. I have 9 girls coming over tonight for my Christmas stamp a stack and wouldn't you know I'm sick :( Never fails I tell ya. I will post some of those cards over the next few days. I have another 11 ladies coming next week so hopefully I'm in better shape then.
For today I'm posting a congratulations card I made for our cousin. She graduated from highschool and is now off to college. Remember those days? MANY moons ago?? LOL.
This card used SU's level 2 hostess stamp set. Love the 2 step stamping. It's such a pretty look.

I should sign off now and rest afterall I've got a whack of stampin' ladies coming!!
Thanks for popping by.

Happy Hallowe'en!!!

Well well well---
What a great Hallowe'en day we have had!! Today is also my husband's birthday so it's always a busy day for us in our household.
This was a layout we did in my Simply Scrappin' club. It uses the SU kit Good Times. I made the cute little pumpkins with oval punches. Neat little idea I cased off someone. I thought a pumpkin patch layout was fitting for this time of year.
Hope you like it. All it needs is a title and I'm done!!

I have also added a few pics from our day today. Enjoy.

Artistic Etchings and back from Regionals!!

OH MY GOODNESS!!!

Where have I been......I know!! I'm sorry.
I am just back from the Stampin' Up! regional event and let me say WHOA!!! It was AWESOME. So inspiring to see other people's work I tell ya! I learned A LOT this weekend. Got to meet and chat with the co founder & CEO of SU Shelli Gardner. What a sweet darling lady she is (not to mention tall!! Holy smokes!!!). I also won a stamp set (A Cute Christmas--in the current holiday mini) and that right there was SOOOOO FUN!!! My friend and downline Lisa won it as well and you should have seen us FREAK out when we saw our names up on the screen! Like KIDS! It was hilarious! So exciting.
I have a few pics posted for you :) ENJOY.

My new favourite stamp set is the Artistic Etchings--Page 125 of the SU catty! Vintage is my new love. Satin ribbon is my other new love. I love working with it. So classy looking too don't you think?

Thanks for visiting today and I'll be back with more I promise :)
Take care.

Summery Colours!

Hey all!!
It's hump day!
Thanks for stopping in today. So, this card for me was "out of my comfort zone!!" WHY? You ask? Because of the colours. I have a hard time making ANYTHING without brown in it and I'm such a "neutral" kinda gal. This is BRIGHT and COLOURFUL! I wanted sooo bad to throw a little Chocolate Chip in this mix but didn't allow it. I love to ruffle ribbon these days. It's a great look that's super easy to do. All I do is lay a piece of sticky strip down across my card and gather the ribbon any old way. There's no rhyme or reason to it. The less perfect it is the better! Give it a try!

Thanks again for checkin' me out.
Have a great remainder of your week.
Paula :)
